I think her being so outwardly expressive and apparently smarter than we were is simply being an only child. You had all your sisters to talk with and nothing stood out so audaciously as it would if only grown ups were watching. I remember some of age 2 because I had no audiance but parents and other adults, I sought attention and I think she does too, it is natural. She is adorable.
