I love flying (small engine non-passenger planes)

But I far prefer to drive.  I can stop and explore anything that catches my eye along the way and I can sing as loud as I want with the radio and nobody complains.

Yep - I'll take the driving with doggie anytime!

I guess we don't have to fly much here Naut, free bus passes are for the old timers .

Perhaps those going on holiday put up with discomforts when going abroad, but it is all about economy how many sardines can be crammed into a tin.

I heard about that incident, and many others of a similar nature, and I am like you. In ones car, the only discomfort concerning my seat is if I sit for too long ( my hips begin to ache after a while ). Other than that, if I can get from point A to point B in a relatively short amount of time, the airlines can keep their seats . . .

The other day a plane was diverted to our Kansas City MCI airport for the same reason.  It just happened to be the same day that Terminal B had to be evacuated because of a bomb threat.  The week before, a body was found in a pond at the airport.  I'm avoiding the airport as much as possible and staying off of planes.

Naut

I agree. This is far from what I ever thought flying would come to when I flew the first time, such kind treatment, good food and anything but what it is now. I don't want to fly anywhere.

That flight ended up having a lot of excitement there.
