Re: JimmyA
Better be careful, Sir Wiley! I suppose having sight in one eye is better than neither, but I don't think there's anything under a nun's habit that I would want to risk losing my eyesight altogether for! Let me know if you 'spot' her . . .

Re:
So you think, C C T, that the preacher's invocation came to pass, huh? I guess Uncle Roger will be more careful next time! And if you're going up against a bull armed with just a pair of scissors, you'd better have your running shoes on . . .

Re: Re: Re: Jimmy
Okay, Naut, I believe I understand the rationale. I was just never aware that a Scotsman was usually going 'commando' under those kilts! I guess they choose to give the term 'letting it all hang out' a literal meaning . . .

Loved the nun hanging over the congregation, I'll keep an eye out for her. LOL

Well Jimmy I would place my bet on Jill Sprat. Poor old Jack would not last long.
I did encounter a bull once it followed me along a low hedge and I don't think it would have stopped me from running even if I had been carrying a caseful of scissors.
I guess that is the reason why Uncle Roger wears an eye patch.

Re: Re: Jimmy
Well, here's my point: We all know that a Scotsman never wears anything under his kilt, and the preacher suspected strongly that a Scottish nun never wears anything under her habit...

I'm going to assume, Bel, that that's a 'thumbs-up' of approval! Glad you enjoyed them . . .

Sure, why not, adnohr? Sometimes there are certain benefits to taking some things literally . . .

Re:
Thanks, TAPS. See? Sometimes things get 'named' in nature for entirely different reasons than what we were always lead to believe . . .

Re:
From what I understand, FSI, anyone who has 'passed' a kidney stone would have found the experience very unpleasant. Hopefully, making light of it helped in some way . . .

Re:
Glad you liked them, Kabu. I usually try to avoid the blatant 'groaners,' but sometimes, when these thoughts hit me . . .
And to be honest, I really have no idea what any nun would actually wear under their habits . . .

Re: Jimmy
I'm not entirely sure what that actually means, Naut, but I'll take your word for it that somehow, being Scottish would make some kind of difference to that poor nun . . .

Looking up the Nun's habit...I do hope she was wearing those great waist to knee bloomers that we had to wear in boarding school. LOL
Lots of groaners here this week so lots of clever witty fun.
