Well, I guess one man's salted lamb is another man's ruined dinner. I too don't particularly care for too much salt in my food. And I also knew about past cultures using salt as a preserving agent. That's where the term 'corned beef' comes from, because the salt pellets used to preserve that meat were the size of corn kernels. How's that bruise on your leg doing . . . ?

Well, I guess the baklava wasn't salty, but it surely is excessively sweet.

Perhaps in hot countries they sweat more and need more salt. I think you were politically very wise as you say it ent Blogit.

I love greek food and have eaten some amazing meals in Greece...but yes, they always over do the salt...My favorite greek desert is Galaktoboureko....and the best in the World was home made at a little bakers just round the corner in Athens from where my Sister in law lived. I don't speak Greek but I learned how to say that pretty quick. LOL.
