Loved reading this. I must admit that in my early married life I loved Good Housekeeping Magazine. I still choose that magazine from the magazine rack in the doctor's office while waiting for my appointments. My idea of a well-kept house is: no clutter, no hoarding, and no crongels on the floor because they feel yucky on bare feet. I do not like going into Son's space because his clutter in there bothers me a lot. I would clean it for him but he won't let me. He is afraid I would move something or throw something away. He does make his bed half-way decently.

I never liked housework, not ever. It is just one of those things that have to be attended to and Wiley and the twice a month house keeper do most of it. gardening and animals, children ...those things are the joy that makes up for much.

I loved this post. I think it is great you keep things tidy while the MLW or some such is away. I love a clean house but I don't like cleaning it one whit.

Well Naut I make my bed every day. Not to Army stipulations but just so I can fall into it at night. I must say I am easy going and would not mind someone else making it.
