Although they do not your lap or stories and cuddles like they once did - I imagine the relationship with them has progressed into a new and wonderful dynamic. Being close with your daughter-in-law must be wonderful, but difficult if she lives as far as Australia. How often do you get home?

Re: Re: Kabu

ice cream is my choice of  comfort food...and I indulge!! I miss my grandchildren the most...they are teenagers now and that seemed to happen so quick. I go back to Australia when I can to see and be with them. But they don't need my lap or my stories and cuddles like they once did. My babies are in their 40's so it is a long time since they were little boys. One daughter in Law is close to me.

A whole lot goes into time management.

Re: Kabu

Funnily enough I knew two young girls who got scurvy through their bad diets - ever since then I make sure I eat fresh 80% of the time - but I definitely don't deny myself things I want. All in moderation, as my mother would say!

Do you miss your kids being that young? I wish I could immortalize his youth, he's so much fun!

I'm sitting here eating cheesecake

The only thing as wickedly wonderful as chocolate.

  1. Sleep is good. When the toddler sleeps you sleep as well, I used to  had to to keep going.
  2. if beef jerky and chovolate make you feel better, that's OK too, perhaps just make sure that you have a piece of fruit or vegetable sometime in every 24 hr period.
