As I said to Wiley last night when we heard, " I cannot live in a World with out Robin Williams." Well of course we must but it is so sad.

I am sure he had the best help available but this is so very sad. He made so many happy and he was so sad. I think everybody loved him. I am so sorry.

being yourself

Robin williams was most comfortable making people laugh by being someone other than himself. His character changes were too much for me. I have been a clown myself, and have hidden the tears of  who I really was.  He suffered from severe depression, and drug and alcohol abuse. I am sure deep inside he was a very nice person, but he did not realize he was.  I hope he can find peace now, and just be himself.

I echo your sentiments, Naut. Very rarely I am stunned by a celebrity breath. To me, this one came from out of nowhere.

Shocked and sad doesn't begin to describe it! When the news first broke, I simply stared at my TV for several minutes in utter disbelief. People always assume that someone of Williams' ilk, always laughing, always clowning, were extremely happy in their personal lives. But as we have all learned, that's not always the case. Absolutely terrible that he felt compelled to take his own life. Sad, sad, sad . . . what more can be said?
