Re: JimmyA

Good for you, Sir Wiley! Although just about everyone is this country has heard about this iconic highway, not many get the opportunity to actually drive on it. Too far west for us . . .

That's what I aim for, Kabu! However, sometimes I'm not sure just how deep this particular well may be . . .

JimmyA

I got my kicks driving Rte 66 from Carpentria Ca to Las Vegas with an U.S.A. buddy in 2005.

Re: Re:

and we enjoy them. So muchhumour has been around for soooooooo long, your whacky witticisms as you call them are refreshing and they certainly hit the funny bone.

Re:

I hope 'fondly,' Carolyn! Those little piggies helped many a mom & dad bond with their youngsters. Of course, I could never figure out how a toe could eat roast beef, but that's a discussion for another day . . .

I remember those little piggies.

Re:

Believe me, adnohr, I know exactly what you mean! In the past, I too have worked with a few people whose heads may have needed to be 'sharpened' from time to time. However, I sometimes had trouble holding my tongue, and that lead to great civil wars between departments! Hey, if you get caught giggling, just say you were thinking of something funny you had read earlier ( like my blog ). At least you wouldn't be lying . . .

Re:

You're quite welcome, as always, Kabu. Humor and cleverness . . . tough to come up with and combine sometimes. But at certain moments, usually when I least expect them, one of these whacky witticisms pops into my head, and everyone else gets to benefit from them . . .

Re:

It may not have been all his fault, FSI. Perhaps if that other piggy had shared some of his roast beef . . .

Re:

Thanks, chuck. The bulk of my humor is what I like to refer to as "George-isms," doing my best to pick up where the late, great comedian George Carlin left off. I know I'm not worthy to touch the hem of his pants, but if I can get at least some people laughing . . .

Re:

I know of that movie, TAPS, but I don't believe I've ever seen it. I think my wife has it in her collection, and I'm sure she found it cute as well ( she just loves baby pigs! ). However, being a 'kids' movie, there probably weren't any "wee, wee, wee" scenes in it . . .

Re: I hate Red Velvet

I actually believe, Bel, that I may have had red velvet cake once, but honestly don't recall if I really cared for it or not. However, my wife and I recently had some red velvet cake ice cream, and it was excellent . . .

Re:

I think I can understand that, C C T. Manure sprinkled with vinegar . . . that'll cure a hangover! And I'm usually not in the habit of tackling everyone's shoe problems, but I'll see what I can do. I believe your funny bone still works . . .

Re: Jimmy

Believe it or not, Naut, we actually don't have too many dirt roads around these parts either! There's a horse farm not too far from us that has a few dirt paths, but that's about the extent of it. No, like most areas I suppose, everything must be paved . . . !

Thanks a lot, Jimmy! My immediate supervisor is always saying...'the point is...' so guess what I'll be picturing now? I must not giggle, I must not giggle, I must not giggle....

Have you ever watched the movie Babe (pig on the farm)?  It is so cute/funny.  I just love it.  Your "wee, wee, wee..." made me think of it.

I hate Red Velvet

and must agree, it pretty much has the texture of it's name.

I know some of my bones work but they not funny ones. I do wonder if the little pig kept his pants on. I wish you would walk in my shoes and suss out my problem.I know what you mean about cake, I dreamt once that I was eating a pile of manure, mind it was sprinkled with  plenty of vinegar. I woke feeling as sick as a dog.

Jimmy

LOL! I know what you mean about all those Rts - I too would much rather drive down an old dirt road! My only problem is that I have to drive hundreds of miles on Rts to find one...
