Of course Corporations will manipulate anything to make money, and that is world wide. Greed is the word these days and your money is what they intend to have.
Ever wonder how Dubai and Abeu Dabe grew from the desert ...the wonder cities of the United Emirates!!!!! Desalinated water from the sea. Sewage treatment plants....and done properly. There is plenty of water it just has to be treated.....But I doubt ig California even needs that. This is not Australia which is a desert mostly.

Interesting theories and concepts, but it's very difficult to imagine someone ( anyone ) monopolizing water! A recent study in our area proved that our tap water is actually better than bottled water ( hard to believe for the New York metropolitan area ). And I think all restaurants and eateries should have been giving glasses of water only to those who requested one all this time! I'm sure most of that water got dumped down some drain! Well, not to sound like a doomsayer but, since the polar ice caps are all melting at an accelerated rate anyway, soon we'll have all the water we could possibly need . . .

I have been reading and hearing about a lot of water problems in California and in the Southwest...I saw that Lake Mead has gotten super low...We in Maryland have been very fortunate. Whenever we needed it, water came.
