Actually I do have an answer for the shower. Leave the Scotch until after the shower. I know you don't wear socks but buy a cheap of white cotton socks and fill half the foot part with 1/4 cup oat meal flakes, 1/4 cup sea salt and same of Epsom salts pour your favorite bath gel in on this leaving the oatmeal to absorb it. Now drink a glass of lemon juice water that has been made by slicing a whole lemon into a 12 oz glass filled with water and allowed to stand for at least 20 minutes.

After drinking the lemon juice water take a very warm shower scrubbing briskly all over the body with the sock cloth. Rinsing well allowing the water to go down to as cold as you can stand it.

I wish that would work with showers as well! I don't take many baths - I don't have the patience...
