Sometimes, C C T, it takes two glances to fully understand some things! No, I have no intention of wearing an eye patch just to 'see' what winks I could get away with, nor do I think that last gentleman was a ventriloquist! We do have a few speaking grasshoppers over here! By the way, I thought it was a farmer's wife who cut off the tails of some mice! Was that her husband who was thrown down those stairs . . . ?

LOL! Actually, I did once burn a candle at both ends as a result of a bet. I got a long and thin candle, heated the center and bent it (that's the tricky part - some of it will melt!) so it was kinda V-shaped. I shaved off the bottom end to expose the wick, stuck the pointy end of the V into the ground, and soon had my candle burning at both ends! And of course I won my bet...
