Re: Jimmy

I have already had a cat suit but it did not fit very well/ Yes I find it is better to part company than be obliged to accept a compensatory gift.

Sometimes complaining to certain companies can get you at least some satisfaction, but cutting them off completely sends an even bigger message! Fool me once . . . I'm glad the cat has a nice blanket to lie on, but if that carbon monoxide alarm continues, you may soon be facing a feline lawsuit . . .

Adnohr the trouble is if projects are run voluntary it is a job these days to find others willing to take over. I think maybe there are too many cats roaming around here for an old lady to be out on her own. How is the big dog making out?

A good giggle from the poem, CCT.Our Farmer's Supply store closed up about 4 years ago, and there has never been another quite like it. It was a sad day. Both my cats are Toms - they seem to enjoy being outside during these warm summer nights.

Re: I am thinking your streets nearby are cobblestone, and many of the

Actually the streets are tarmac Pat in my Dad's early years they were crushed stone and the water cart would trundle up and down in summer to keep the dust down. Sadly we have all been complaining about the pot holes in the roads and at last the main roads are being resurfaced. Yes the houses are pretty old all Cotswold stone along most streets.Of course development has been very active and what was a small country market town with its old Buttercross, has now become pretty large by our standards.

Re: FS

Yes once bitten, but they will persist I expect. Good neighbours need good fences.

Re: Chiff Chaff

Good thinking Bro , I don't think that it has much of a smell so better to be on the safe side.

Re:

Yes Kabu I nearly pulled them up they have little hairs in the stalks and I wondered if some might be allergic to them. Archie said leave them they look pretty. I am more excited to see what perennial plants are next door. I think that is the way to go , but they are so expensive postage wise. I have a lot of young ones growing.

CCT

Oh my! Thistles in the hay may be attractive to a goat, but I shudder at the thought of seeing them ravage Ms Wolfy Dunne's silken skin...

From what it sounds like, you are definitely better of cutting ties with that company...An interesting neighborly exchange there.

I am thinking your streets nearby are cobblestone, and many of the

houses there are longstanding, pre-war (WWI) at least, and thus an established place steeped in history. I hope you get the right strawberries started for next spring, such a luscious treat to have vine ripened strawberries right there under the sun...
