She is indeed, C C T! As far as I'm concerned, there's none sweeter! And something tells me that, now that I've put this particular 'bug' in your ear, you're going to come across something old one day soon with that day's date on it, and you'll have your very own "Oh, my gosh!" moment, rainy day or no . . .

Re:
There ya go, Kabu! I think I would consider that somewhat of a serendipitous moment as well! I think what probably makes it bizarre is the exact number of years in between ( 20 years, 60 years, 100 years ). Even numbers are always better than odd numbers . . .

Re:
I believe, TAPS, that that 'serendipitous moment' is even more bizarre than my wife's! I mean, what are the odds of that? And if they never married into the family, no one would have even known about it! You should send that one in to Dear Abby . . .

Re:
I believe she does, FSI, but very rarely. Over the years, certain numbers and number combinations have come up where playing them with the lottery seemed like the next likely step. However, none of them have ever hit for us, so we don't even bother anymore . . .

Re:
It really was, chuck, especially for it to happen twice! Once would have been odd enough . . .

Re: JimmyA
In this case, Bill, I would say that your 'serendipitous moment' came at a perfect time, regardless of the dates involved . . . !

Re: Jimmy
That's true, Naut. Although serendipity can be somewhat bizarre at times ( like in these incidences ) it can also be wonderful. And I can only assume that, if someone were able to calculate the actual odds of that happening once, they would probably quadruple having it happen twice! Let's see if my wife comes across anything 'dated' a third time . . .

No Jimmy because I cannot find anything I want although I am sure I put it up if it was important. I have burn up every rainy day and hope for the best. You really make you wife sound Angelic.

Nothing comes to mind except that my Sister Margaret Jean V. was born 17th January 1942...and we have an ancestor from Scotland born Margaret Jean C. born 17th January 1842....My parents did not know this we found out years later when looking through some archives.

Quite interesting. Makes one wonder what to make of it.
I just ran into two different in-laws who were born on the same day of the same year at the same hospital, 54 years ago and nobody knew each other at that time. We got to laughing about what if the parents were given the wrong babies.

Ten years ago I cashed in two of my mother's old ones from the 40s Jimmy, before I paid my own hospital bill.

I agree, that is amazing! What would be the odds? Very difficult to work out, but they would be very high...And no, I have never experienced anything quite like that, though serendipity has been good to me at times...
