I expect the strangers thought that you looked lonely, they sound very nice.
Perhaps you are like me I am terrible at receiving gifts. It is an emotional thing, but sometimes it is unavoidable. I hope they were tears of happiness.

I believe I can understand that, although it doesn't seem like all that much of a rarity for you. You must live in a nice area. It's a shame that more people couldn't be like that couple who invited you to their table. Those types are apparently part of a dying breed! Glad you had a good day . . .
