Naut - Sorry to let you know that your argument isn't working. People are becoming educated about the Palestinian plight and cause for independence also their continuous struggle against the occupation of the State of Israel since the year 1948. Adding to that that the biggest receiver of our US foreign aid goes to Israel and it is being used daily to terrorize the Palestinian people in their homeland. Peace requires two partners and almost the whole world is in agreement now that Israel isn't one of them. This new government of Israel is suicidal in its actions of stealing land from the Palestinians on a daily basis to built settlements on them and give to their people. Hope that the people of Israel will wake up and get rid of their blind fanatic government and start supporting a new one that will work for real peace and justice and be an effective partner. With what is happening now there is no winner and the killing between the two parties will continue. I wish for you to start supporting peace too.

Indeed any aid to governments using the funds for military warfare is in violation of the principle of good governance and it has to be stopped if there is to be peace attained

Is this nonsense ever going to end? 
That being said, I'm sure you're already well aware that the concept of our tax money directly or inadvertantly funding various rogue governments and terrorist organizations is nothing new. The 'highest bidder' usually wins out over ethics and a sense of 'fair play.' People sometimes complain that almost every product they pick up is marked Made In China. Well, if you look closely at much of the world's stock pile of weapons and ammunition, there's a good chance you'll see Made In The Good Ol' U.S.A.! The 'war machine' rages on . . .

I totally agree with you. There is so much misery in the World to help over come lack of water and desperate poverty and illness....then there are natural disasters to give aid to. I wouldn't send a penny to the middle East.

I think aid should be given to those in immediate need. I suppose the general public have no idea how it is distributed.
