Sigh!! It takes so much more energy to be negative all the time. I am so glad that I gave up being a grown up and live in my happy little la la world ...most of the time anyway. I feel bad for people who don't even realize that they are depressed and depressing for others to be around.

My mom used to complain about everything.
She is coming up on 92, and she is tired of being here. She is in pain, she is frail and has no balance, falls a lot and nearly always breaks a bone, and now she is living on mediocre institutional food. When my sister said that, about always complaining about things, Mom being right there, I quoted a bit picked up somewhere: The more you complain, the longer God makes you live.
Mom shut right up.

LOL! These people can cast a shadow over the day, can't they? Which reminds me that some years ago a friend of mine sent me some mildly funny stuff about a 'Bitter Betty' and a 'Negative Nancy', who apparently led a brief life in the Blogosphere...
