Re: Re: -CIEL

Unrequited love is the hardest, maybe, when one is so sure it should and could be requited, if only one is persistant and patient enough... Oh, wait... that's called 'stalking,' isn't it? Anyway... one gets over as soon as one realizes that the person who is unrequiting isn't actually really truly the person one has been dreaming of: that person never was there.

Which reminds me, did you ever see a movie called TRULY, MADLY, DEEPLY? If you haven't, I hereby assign it as homework to be completed at the earliest possible time.

Re: -CIEL

Oh' it feels like a claymore, Ciel. My skin is pretty tough. These are more Ginger than brown I'll try and snap an aggressive little brute who drives the others away.I could do with a few more endorphins but I feel that my vase has broken. I guess we see the flaws when it is too late and with unrequited love never perhaps.

Sadly we get used to doing our own thing as long as we can survive the perils of Spring.

Thank you Pat, sleep is a gentle mistress.

Re: Jimmy

Well what with this and the cramp and the chiropodist digging for a wandering toenail a very pale pink would be welcome. Never heard of that word Jimmy but there it was in the shorter Oxford  1540 Merle or merula, well done.

I think I know how you feel concerning that 'knife' in your side. It's usually one of those things that, yes, you're just going to have to take it easy for a spell and allow your body to recover. Hopefully you're 'back in the pink' soon. And I think what you may have there is a merula, which is still technically a blackbird, but may explain its coloring. Just keep him away from the strawberries and you'll both be fine . . .

The roses are beautiful! Your doctor friend is a discerning lady, but you can tell her that wine is okay, as long as she doesn't mix it with her whisky...

I am so sorry you are all stove up from working too hard. Please take care of yourself. Yes blackberries both wild and garden types are first green then red before turning almost black. You need more help. I am going to say a prayer for you.

I find it difficult to think of myself falling for some line

spun by a lovely silver tongue, no matter that he's fine
and handsome, with a bit of a tinkle in his eye,
just can't see myself learning to dance with a new guy.

I hope you feel better soon, CCT, with no aches or pains - and that all your flowers bloom as they should and smell wonderful.

Sorry to hear you're in pain--

that's no fun at all!Glad, though, it's only a knife and not a claymore!

I looked up images of juvenile blackbirds, and it seems brown is not an uncommon color at all.

Romance is a rush, but I suppose we are all prone to projecting hopes and dreams of what we want someone to be onto what they really are. Eventually, that goes away, and we see the other person... well, each other, in a more real light: the vase is broken, and all those lovey feelings leak out with the endorphins and all.

And if we are too stuck on those notions of our desires, the real person just won't do. Wouldn't it be great if we could put that stuff away, and see what another's real qualities, virtues and flaws are.?
