funny we have lots of woods around but the deer come into our yards at night. my neighbor ask me the other morning if i still had a garden as he saw a deer enter my yard the night before.
we dont always notice the wild life that abounds, i have so many squirrels but also a dog that keeps them very wild. it seems as though i am seeing more and more birds in the yard every year or maybe i am just now noticing them. i do not feed them but there is enough around that they can always find a meal, i had an egret that hung around my fish pond, i wonder how many meals it had here. but i got lots of fish so i can spare a few.

Re: CCT,
She was already moving faster than I do these days.
Yes, they are browsers, and you probably would not find them harmless to your garden. I understand they are very fond of roses.

Re: BC-A
I love the scents of real roses... the purplish ones smell like berries, or wine. Spirea are nice until they are past bloom.

Couldn't you have run up the road and headed the deer off Ciel . Everyone seems to have wildlife coming from all over the place. I suppose animals get used to folk eventually.
Kind of think they are a grazing critter and harmless.
