Re: Is that a Peace rose? One of my favorites!

It has been a bad year for seeds germinating over here Ciel. I do take calcium tablets but rarely eat if ever these days red meat. I pulled the snap peas out of the plastic tunnel today they were too stringy. The ones under nets are OK to eat raw. I'll try and take a photo of the sweet peas before someone picks them.I don't know if it is the Peace rose I have a climbing one but it is late coming out, I have a Queen Elizabeth which flowers profusely.

Re: Jimmy

Good thinking Jimmy I have several bottles of wine if I could turn them into nice water I could follow the nurse's harsh instructions. Sounds like one would have to carry a portable loo.

Re: Kabu

I don't like our water Kabu it tastes of chemicals one lady has suggested potassium but I will try what the chemist suggested first tonic water with quinine . I seem to remember the Indian Army was supplied with that to cure something, over excitement perchance.

Re: Jean

My gardener friend is lucky and my brother they are not on meters and can use what they like as long as they are discrete I try to save from roofs as the water is softer but we have no rain forecast for ten days and the wind keeps blowing. Yes it is funny as one becomes older one wonders what the attraction was.

Re: Wiley

Thank you Bro cat pellets are so much cheaper but one should only use fish and vegetable . Chicken and Duck is a bit cannibalistic. Aches and pains are part of the game I am afraid. Nice to hear from you.

Re: Adnohr

Yes I bet it is nicer water Adnohr ours is chlorinated to preserve little teeth. As for that other lady I have not read her scathing remark yet, I bet her name is on a forest of trees.

Yes - I hear of others paying for water and am happy I'm on a well too. Listen to Nurse Kabu, CCT. I guess it's better that the love scratched your name and not your eyes  Very pretty flower!

The cage sounds intriguing...Rain lends itself to a lot of great imagery.

The rose is gorgeous and makes up for the stringy peas! And it's disheartening to find that one's old love is trying to obliterate our words of love we thought would last for eternity...

ChiffChiff

Great to read you again Bro and take it easy with the pot lifting. Never thought of feeding birds cat pellets, great thought. The flower is beautiful as well as that short love poetry.

beautiful, perfect flower.

to bad you do not have a well, without one i could afford to grow nothing, as it is the electric is high enough.

strawberries, mmm, to bad the peas are stringy.

try potassium for the cramps and water, kabu is right we forget to drink when busy in the garden.

smiled at the poem, she should never have scratched you out, but maybe if not you would have scratched her out.

if you have bad cramp in the legs it is because you let yourself get dehydrated. You have to drink water all the time that you are working and again after you stop. It is the only way to stop those pains...the body is warning you that you need fluid. now get to that tap and drink...not alcohol, not soda pop no coffee not tea unless it is Camille...WATER!!!

Sounds like things are really bloomin' over there! And it's amazing sometimes how expensive water can be, when it's the most abundant element on the planet! Soon it may be time to figure out a way to turn wine into water . . .

Is that a Peace rose? One of my favorites!

Cramps can come from lack of calcium--maybe it would help to eat more calcium-rich meat and dairy?

Your garden sounds wonderful!  The winds keep discouraging my sugar snap pea starts so they don't get much past starting. The sweet peas never germinated at all. Got more nasturtiums coming along, though.

I can surely see why now and then you take time away from Blogit.  I don't see how you get everything done that you do.  No wonder you have leg cramps.

Ah, the pain of love gone wrong, after carving initials to last "forever."

Beautiful flower, and how sweet to think of your sweetpeas blooming fragrantly as mother's did so long ago.
