i believe that here in the west we have been and are being conditioned, or brain washed if that is what you want to call it. the brainwashing comes in the form of conformity, we are becoming a nation of conformers. we all want the latest and do not want to be singled out as different.
i agree that if you can get people to pray 5 times a day and make them believe that they are believers of the true religion, once more than a majority believe the rest will follow, some because they want to be like everyone else and some will be afraid not to conform.
women will stop speaking out when enough have been beaten, disfigured or killed. of course there will always be brave and free thinking men and women, but who can hold back a hurricane?

I actually believe that once people feel persecuted for being Christian or Jewish they will cling stronger to their Faith... Just getting people to wear certain clothes and mumble prayers 5 times a day or whatever will not make Muslims of the population. Actually Naut. you are underestimating Western Women. Well educated, in charge of her own sexuality, choosing whether to marry or not, to continue education to ensure she has a career not just a job...Western Women are not ready to live in a Patriarchal society again.
