Little Fingers, Little Pact

Well, I won't forget.

"I do believe in fairies! I do! I do!"

Just read Maiden Fair. It's at the beginning of Broken Chains. The Fair Folk inspire some of my best and sweetest works. I'm particularly fond of that one.

Re: Re: Re: Re:

My Granddaughter and I joined little fingers when she was about seven and promised to keep the secret between us that we believed in Fairy Folk. Sadly at 15 when i reminded her of our pact, she had forgotten...but never mind. She has to try being grown up before she can, like me, descide it isn't a nice place to live. I am loving you too.

Re: Re: Re:

*smiles* I love you, Kabu. You keep it so real.

I think I was trying to be diplomatic. I do believe in fairies and mermaids and dragons and in all the fanciful things we believed as children. I think children see more truths in the world than adults, because they aren't so jaded. Besides, who ever believes a child? I do.

Re: Re:

What not believe because of numbers!!!! I tried grown up and did not like it so I am young enough now to converse with the Faery folk and I love my life

Re:

I think the rain can give anyone a love/hate relationship with it. Like if I'm walking with the baby and have my laptop with me or her school artwork with me, then the rain is nothing but a nuissance. But we got caught in it on Thursday and racing home with the stroller, Ayla yelling (WHOA) the whole time was really fun.

In the car wash business, rain can at times be the enemy, but after years of hating it, I have come to appreciate it...I, too, have places that I want to visit but do not want to the visit at the same time.

Re:

Well, I'm sure Lake Placid is teeming with the Little Folk. They hide in the sweet grasses, Driads inhabit the towering trees and Naiads swim the crystal lakes. That's the child in me, yes, that thirteen-year-old desperate to cling to something precious after the loss of my father the same month. But I believe. I still believe in things that I really shouldn't at my age. And yet, who is to say that at all?

Uh Huh, we cannot go back to childhood and if we try the magic has changed. But the fairies are still there, it takes time to find them.
