they were so clever at what they did that people would be disappointed if each film was not a different situation that was turned into delightful mayhem.

Yep, another classic! No, their routine of incompetency and causing mayhem wherever they go will never grow tiring! Interestingly enough, I had just read in Moe's autobiography a few things he wrote about this particular short. One major aspect, and obstacle, was during the stateroom scene, where they crashed and ate the other actor's dinner. Moe actually couldn't stand shellfish, but during that scene he was supposed to eat pieces of that crab. He asked for the props department to make something he could eat that would resemble the crab meat, but still winced while eating whatever they came up with. In fact, if you look closely, he's practically nauseous! He barely got through the scene! Meanwhile, there's Curly eating the shells instead of the meat! Ya gotta love 'em . . .
