Oh yes, I have. I use external harddrives now, but malware gets into those too. It got in a few months back and erased some very important files. I'm so glad it didn't touch my novels and poetry. I would have been devastated. I've got to do another mass self-email blast to myself with important documents. Or just purchase some more room on Dropbox and keep it all there.
