As a blind individual who would love the freedom of driving around on my own, I think self driving cars are a good idea in theory. I don't think they'd be very safe on the road, and I'd have doubts about putting my child in one. There are just way too many danger factors that can't be taken into account by everyone. Slippery roads, idiot that cuts out in front of you at an intersection, the duface that steals your parking spot at Wal-mart, finding a parking spot, car trouble, system failure, etc. It's just asking for trouble.
Which is really too bad, because the convenience would so be worth the cost to me. Especially in the area I live. LOL

Looking at how some other machines are being produced, and how quickly they fall apart, self-driving cars would be a bad idea . . .

Self-driving cars are an idiocy! But then, I know there are people out there driving who really shouldn't either...
