I am all for change that moves us into a more positive type of energy or as you say renewable, solar or wind energy...
I remember one of my night time soaps Knots Landing did a long plot line on developing energy using the power of the oceanic waves....Thirty years ago All My Children brought up the use of solar energy and building homes that utilized solar energy. Yes it is just television but there's that adage ... does television influence us or do we influence television...I think it is symbiotic...

She is a sharp woman. As for the subject matter here, I am totally ignorant of the workings, financing and returns on such expansion. I can only say that people like George and me have a very hard time with utility bills. This country beginning at the White House appears to think we will never run out of anything. We are close on many things and need a president with more intelligence, experience and savvy like Germany's president.

Nor has Germany torn itself apart by playing party politics over everything. German people will work together for the common good. Something we could give a thought to.

there is a tv program called shark tank, where people with ideas ask for financial help from investors....... someone came up with a plan to generate electricity from waves in the ocean, and there have been others also that had great ideas, but the sharks are only interested in a quick profit. and seem to ignore anything that is earth healthy.

It does take political will: not the will of the people, the voters,
who would be open to any technology that reduces the greenhouse effect. The political will I'm counting as a game-changer is the will of the 1% - those who control our elected lawmakers. I believe their prime motivator is profit - so if one smooth operator started raking in the cash the rest would jump on the bandwagon.

A very interesting read, and I did not know that Germany was doing that with its energy. I wonder if it will catch on over here.
