No, Rose will probably never be admitted, and it's a shame. Baseball needed to make an example of him for his actions, and recanting that ban now would probably undermine their intention. Very sad that the all-time hits leader can't be admitted because of something he did off the field well after he had stopped playing! I guess there's no 'statute of limitations' . . .

I feel that he will not enter the Hall of Fame. Two things have to occur. One, MLB has to reinstate him. I do not see that happening. To put it in Catholic terms, gambling is a mortal sin in MLB. Even if he were to get reinstated the Veterans' Committee would have to elect him into the Hall of Fame. I do not see that happening because I see the committee looking at gambling as a mortal sin.
