To be perfectly honest, I sometimes have a difficult time as it is trying to stay on top of the politics going on right here in my own country. I know that almost everything that happens around the globe will eventually affect us as well, but for now, I just can't waste any brain cells thinking about Egypt or their new leader . . .

i listen less and less to any of those news programmes...but I myself was pleased that Egypt seems to be calming down and may have a chance of prosperity and peace with more equality for women...but I don't have much faith in any of those Patriachial Societies whether they are Muslim or whatever. I could not live in a muslim society for sure but then I have issues with other .....

As for CNN, my blood pressure has gone down a bit ever since I quit
watching their "sky is falling" "ain't it awful" drama seeking broadcasts. It's like accepting the fact that diet soda is poison, you never miss it once you quit.

It would serve all the oil countries & companies right if somebody
with a couple billion would speculate on solar and wind energy, really give that technology a financial boost. It might just turn the tide on fossil fuel damage to the environment, and it just might shift economic power (and the ability to buy weapons at will) from the desert wastelands of the middle east & northern Africa
