i was a terrible eater as a child but then I went to Boarding school and we HAD to eat everything on our plate and don't complain. It was terrible food. But most of my life I didn't eat big meals so was very slim until now.

Big family meals left me with an eating disorder. My hospital stay healed me.

My kids were picky, too,
until their friends got them to try things they wouldn't take from me! Then, suddenly, they were delicious!

It's amazing how things change. I too was a 'fussy' eater as a child, and never really gave any consideration to the starving children of the world. But today, I'm eating right ( especially after marrying a vegetarian ) and I always clean my plate too! My wife has me eating vegetables that I never thought I would ever eat: creamed spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, cucumbers, etc. But there's two I still will not eat: beets and lima beans! Yuck! Can't do it . . .

You are making up for the old days of food rejection. One cannot march on an empty stomach.
