I still consider him to the homerun king. Pitchers can cheat (i.e. Preacher Roe and Gaylord Perry with their spitballs), and they are glorified, but a batter cannot be? It doesn't make sense to me since teams and players are always looking for advantages.

Yes and no. I mean, he did hit those 762 home runs. But I have a feeling that any record set during the so-called 'steroid era' is always going to be somewhat tainted and suspect! And it's a shame too . . .
