There's plenty of solid evidence that contact with animals is of benefit for sick and troubled people. But of course it's also great for those of us who are lucky enough to be relatively healthy! My Bennie is a wonderful 'mood-enhancer' when I'm feeling slightly down...

It is wonderful how people in need are using animals as companions.

I suppose the next thing will be robot companions . I think this will happen in time.
Sadly bringing an animal up to that standard would probably destroy its innocence and take many years to achieve. So better to have a trusting old pal even if he keeps wanting to go walkies.

My wife always makes sure to buy products that clearly say on the label "Not Tested On Animals." She has signed petitions and donated funds to certain organizations who try to thwart this type of activity. We also help those organizations who train and use 'therapy' dogs and cats at hospitals and various wellness centers. Animals are a very important part of our lives, and we have several rescue cats whom we love dearly to prove it!

I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well . . .
