Actually I see this as his effort to cast a shadow over the mess in our Veterans Affairs bungle. He always comes up with more junk and goes on a road tour with speeches after another bungle, bad bungle is discovered. He thinks all this terrible stuff happening on his watch is fine. He thinks he is bringing America down yet another notch!

Nautikos

The motivation is he has left America broke, and powerless.  According to the e-mail news from  south of the border, July will be the start of another shock for the world at the state of world economies after the U.S. economic figures are going to be revealed. What say you my friend.??

naut, we all know that you cant change people, a person can change if he wants to, but no one can change another.  why do we run around the world thinking we can fix everyone?  there is so much to do here at home, that does not include changing anyone.

It was a mission to get Bin laden .....it should have ended when he did. Waste of life and money and for what??? All the work in the world won't change these people in their own land. Since the time of Alexandra The Great of Macedonia, the tribal chiefs and head Pooh Bars have disappeared into the Mountains and Pakistan where that border is not really defined. The peasants have been killed or "helped" to change their lives. Finally the invaders go home, the Chiefs and Poo Bars come back and retake their country and run it their way. They have more patience than we have money.
