Hmmm . . . perhaps it's not the uniform. Perhaps he senses something 'deep down' that you just can't see. Probably not a bad idea to trust your dog's instincts. As long as he doesn't bite anyone . . .

things
Sounds like people who have things in their hands....Something from Ben's past got that dog spooked,,,,,,,, like a rolled up newspaper for leaving something wet on the floor....German short hairs are very smart, and proud, dogs...

I've heard that animals pick up subtle body language of their owner's
response to people and take a cue from that? But surely you do not dislike the child
with her little red wagon, or the UPS man... heh! heh! heh! I had a dog once who
liked to chase cars, and would bite at the rear tires thinking she was a wolf and the tire
was a deer's flank. I don't know how she escaped death.

Perhaps some look him in the eyes my dog used to growl at me if I stared at him.
Or some might remind him of a bad scene . It would be nice to know his full history.

Graysome takes instant dislike to some people who come here. Others he wants to be best buddies with. I have a feeling that some folks have the smell of a doggie on them!! We long to see you Naut....wonder if Graysome would take a dislike to Ben's odour.

I remember a walk several years ago on The Trail there being a dog that was barking furiously at bicyclists. Another time, there was another dog that did not take well to being passed.
