Very nice! You clearly have a very special relationship with Viloletta! My observations of Bubbles are much more limited, although she does come to me frequently and asks me to accompany her to a spot of her choice. But my explorations of Bennie are still in progress...

A great post! Re-learning things about cats now that Bandit has become a permanent member of my household. SO different from dogs!

Re: CCT,

I had to re-read this... I thought you said she was becoming damp.

You and "your" cat have a very special relationship.

She is becoming hu-modified Ciel , my cat just uses one cat voice, and it is meant to irritate me.

she can see you, she can ensure life is exactly the way that it should be and that means as much time with you beside her that she can organize for herself, even if it means a little blackmail now and then. LOL. The more that I study the animals, the more i realize we are dumb and they are brave smart and very well able to look after themselves and us.

I used to think they were creepy and sneaky and silent

as they moved about you couldn't hear them as you could hear the footsteps of dogs.
Then we rescued a kitten who'd been dumped by the side of the road "until we could
find a home for her," and she lived with us until well into her 19th year. I still miss her, nearly 18 years later.

Living with several cats of our own, I can tell you that her behavior is not unique! Our cat Riki is the same way, and she's only about 6 years old! She hates to be alone when she knows that either I or my wife are somewhere in the house! She gets more love and attention than probably any cat on the planet, and she wants more and more and more! And, it's hard to ignore! Spoiled, spoiled . . .

Re: BC-A,

After keeping company for 14 years, I am pretty sure my interpretation of Violetta's moods and intentions goes beyond anthropomorphising.
