Sometimes I wish my dad had kept a journal of some kind. Over the years leading up to his death, I had tried to glean as much info about him and his life as I could from him directly, but there are still many gaps, even things my mother is unsure of. Feel fortunate you have those diaries and journals . . .

Well I am making an effort to follow most bloggers. It is sad too see no comments on a blog each day. Your parents do appear to have a very controlled life, but of course children do not always realise that times are so different these days. If they loved each other I guess it worked out.
