Uh, oh, adnohr. Do we have to be 'enemies' now for the next two weeks? Go Rangers . . .

Re:

Believe me, adnohr, no one is as surprised as me! I'm always a 'hope for the best but expect the worst' kind of guy, simply because it makes things easier sometimes. I would always rather be pleasantly surprised than greatly disappointed. And beating a very good Pittsburgh club was indeed a pleasant surprise, especially when you look at the historical numbers someone threw up! Apparently, going into that game, in their history, my Rangers were 0-16 when trailing a best-of-7 series 3 games to 1. Meanwhile, in their history, Pittsburgh was 4-0 when leading 3 games to 1 in a best-of-7 series! Both zeroes were changed to a 1 last night! Even if the Rangers advance no further, I'm very proud they got this far! Bring on the Habs . . . !

Re:

Thanks, Justi. I hope you will love this book and my story, which, I guarantee you, will be unlike anything you've ever read before, whether it was by a fellow blogger or not! Once you get into the 'meat' of the story, you will begin to realize how difficult it was to write, as well as live through of course. Keep reading . . .

Book?? Ok - will get to that later. For now - YOU WON!! And here's hoping we get to jibe each other after tomorrow's game between Bruins and Habs!

Hi Jimmy your book arrived today and I have just begun it. Loving it as of this first few pages. Thanks for telling us about it. There have been a few people who wrote books over the years on here. I bought all I knew about and have found them to be as different in the writing and in general as the people are. I love them all I am sure I will yours as well.

Re:

So it appears, Annicita, that you're not waiting for the historians to figure that one out, but are taking it upon yourself. I'm not even really sure if the whole 'cross dressing' phenomenon is actually connected to the 'homosexual agenda,' simply because, from what I understand, there are transvestites ( who are also sometimes referred to as cross-dressers ) who are actually heterosexual! They just like to sometimes dress in women's clothing. Should I assume that a woman wearing what looks like a man's suit and tie is a lesbian? Probably not, right? It's just another one of those 'good for the goose, good for the goose' double-standards that feminism and political correctness has brought us over the years . . .

Re:

Just remember, TAPS, to keep a straight face for as long as you can! The baggers are usually young people who probably wouldn't know what you were talking about anyway. This is just a fun way to confuse them even more . . .

Re: JimmyA

Glad you liked that one, Sir Wiley. Hopefully one day you'll get a chance to actually use it! It is a great line . . . !

Re:

Thanks, Kabu! A high five right back at ya! And I know you're up to your ears in gnome trouble right now, so scouring the neighborhood for stray elephants is probably not on your mind at the moment . . .

Re:

It does sound like it, doesn't it, dsm tchr? Originally I was going to write "clear containers of polyethylene terephthalate," which would have been another way of saying 'plastic.' But, I thought it would be better to write something even more confusing that doesn't really exist! That's the fun part . . .

Re:

Sometimes they are, FSI! And seriously, I have seen videos and clips of kids at certain parties, diving on the food like there's no tomorrow! My goodness! Is there some kind of food shortage I don't know about . . . ?

Re: Jimmy

Well that's always good, Naut. It would appear that the cashier 'called your bluff,' so to speak! Hey, some days you can get away with something like that, and some days you can't! Maybe next time . . .

Re:

I'm not even sure, C C T, how to respond to your responses! Let's give it a whirl: sounds good . . . I hope not . . . okay . . . that's probably true . . . nor should they try . . . good for you . . . fair enough . . . that's a shame . . . and it's the same here! And I believe the blog of my dad and the 'special sandwich' he prepared for me was posted last year around March 15th, if you still have a mind to find it and reread it . . .

a man is considered a cross dresser due to the fact that one of the worst possible things man could be considered was effeminate, which to many means he is gay and we all know how much society despised gay men.  society is coming around but there is still many who think homosexuality is the downfall of our society...not to go into debates or arguments...it is what is was and still is (though not as much)

I like that last one.  I'm going to try to remember it and spring it on some poor hapless checkout girl.  LOL

Jimmy

As to the last item: A while ago, finding myself in one of the strange moods I am prone to, I told the cashier at the supermarket with a straight face, "I forgot my wallet! I'll pay some other time, I've got credit here."
"Oh," she said, looking doubtful; but she knows me...
"Your manager knows!"
"Okay, then...Let me call him..."
"Oh, here it is, I found it," I said, and hauled out my wallet.
She looked very relieved...

And no, there was no line-up behind me...LOL

Firstly you are right Jimmy about the meal your dad prepared I would like to read that again but I really don't know where to look,

For some strange reason I feel I have to reply to your reminisces after all it is hard work to commit to a time table. So I'll not mess with your nursery rhyme as cucumber does not eat cucumber a previous quote of yours.Perhaps you just need binoculars not glasses. People just call me Mrs Bartlett. You never see politicians tiddle. Visitors can't get past the Moat. I do fancy a grilled piranha. I don't know enough about chemistry to work out the size of your footprint The parrots have taken over some areas here all they say is bugger off, I think that's enough today . Cash is preferable to plastic here.
