In a way we're all "rescue dogs" with subconscious reasons to

dislike certain people on sight. However, it's encouraging to see he's gained enough confidence to risk games with relative strangers who will give the ball back. Like Bennie, I'm a bit suspicious of anyone who always agrees with me.

Interesting Naut as you say Ben's past which you will never find out may have involved a scary time with a gang of bigger dogs. He seems good natured otherwise, but just a reminder of past scenes and woof.

He is a precious doggie and without your writing I would never know all that. He is handsome too.

The more you write about Bennie the more there is to like. I don't like many big humans, and am very picky about my friends...and have much more time for children those with problems and that are hurting physically or emotionally. And Graysome too is very choosy. well not really choosy he just doesn't believe in other cats or dogs. actually Graysome isn't at all like Bennie...

I suppose one of Bennie's character traits is . . . he's discerning. Some dogs are worthy of his respect and friendship, while other dogs barely get the time of day. Very much like most humans . . .

My dad had a dog he rescued from the shelter. He was fine with dogs everywhere except for Location A, where he lived at.
