My my I thought you had maybe just the one green house or tube as you call it, but I never expected another country in your back yard. That is great but so much work for the two of you. Does the cook put by, can, freeze etc., any of the wonderful produce from these gardens? Love it.

Re:

In someone's dreams Jimmy the pigeon would fly in and eat the cabbage the blackbirds would eat any fruit that was ripe and the eagles would rip the nets apart. No I mean the white butterflies would be in like a flash,

Re: Naut

No Arthur has a job to find the vegetables when they are ready Naut, but he cooks them so I can't complain. I need Archie for the bending work although he is all aches and pains.

CCT

That's quite a spread you've got there! No wonder it keeps you and Archie busy! Maybe you should get Arthur to do a little work as well, though he appears to be a bit reluctant in that department...

If I recall from watching my share of 'nature programs,' wouldn't those birds like to eat those bugs? I mean, it sounds like the perfect set-up. No more chemicals, no more destruction of your plants. Let the birds in, allow them to feast on those pesky vermin, and then shoo them away! Kind of a 'dine-and-dash' . . .

Re: Annicita

Sometimes when it is hot I think crikey what have I got all this stuff around at my age but I keep adding I suppose I miss pushing the old breast plough . ( it was what they used in the old days one just pushed the plough with one's chest.)

Re: Wow, that's a lot of tunnels and gardening!

That's the trouble I kept adding Ciel but some things like raspberries and such need the insects to pollinate as I have learned by experience.

Plenty of white cabbage moths in Australia but not much here. That is a lot of tunnels. I am not feeding the birds now cos they can forage in the summer out here in the Boonies. So most of the birds have moved back into the Woods at present and it is Chipmunk time.

Wow, that's a lot of tunnels and gardening!

Looks like you could keep the neighborhood in flowers and veg!

What a pleasant view out your window - all the planting tunnels and shelters. It
looks like a place that will keep you busier than you want to be. :)
