I don't think I even have "big girl britches" anymore.  It seems as if, when I don't want to do something, I just don't do it.  Isn't that awful.

You really I  live with your characters when you write don't you. I find it difficult with my own mind half the time, amazing Kabu can keep up with me better than I can keep up with her 'characters'. Good for you and painting, I just can't do it anymore, tired all the time and too unstable on a ladder or the ground for that matter.

Pat

I somehow missed this earlier - so all the best to Mary! And I'm sure you had a productive day after all...

Pat don't go if you feel poorly, if you knock yourself up, they will say 'Poor Pat she has not been herself lately. Take a rain check.

You are so much better at community work than me. I don't start these days because after a time I always find an excuse to quit. Which is unfair and more nuisance than help. I need a loners club...Oh I have one Blogit. LOL.

A good source for writing prompts is Julie or Julia Cameron...I am sure you have heard of her if not read her work as well...It's not easy to write when in pain but it is a nice way to block out the pain....

relating to the pain...

Walking more than usual yesterday, I blame for over-stressing the knees and being out of my anti-gout med for several days--thankfully arrived yesterday!--I have worried some about bringing on a flare-up that could cripple me for days and days and even days more. It has been so long, I have forgotten what I can't eat when unprotected, other than shellfish.  But it's better this morning, on all accounts, and I am beginning to think of a certain Chinese restaurant that delivers the best mushu shrimp...

I'm sure it will be reassuring to the writers' group for you to put in a personal appearance, under the circumstances. But maybe you just say hellos, and can hand off the list, and go home again.
