Looks ( and sounds ) wonderful. More people should have such plants because bees are extremely important to the balance of foilage reproduction, more so than people might realize! And what would we do without honey . . . ?

What a pretty picture, and a wonderful description.  I guess it's a good thing it is not around here.  I'm allergic to bee stings and have to keep a Medrol Dose Pack handy just in case.

Must be happy in your climate Jean. Can't say I recognize it at first glance around here. It may be smaller shrub like I will check it out. I hope your frosts have finished we have not had any for a fortnight but a friend of mine who lives a lot higher up in a village 15 miles away said they had a frost yesterday it is an air frost which we escape being in a valley.

A beautiful colour green. I wonder if it would grow this far north.

Consider if bees can tell the difference between garden and wild honey. BC-A, Bill’s R®st

The leaves are shinier and waxier looking

but it looks a lot like the lilac in my back yard which is just now putting out white buds.
