i just lost my dog ace, but everyone was in awe of him, from the vet on down......i swear he understood english....spoken like we do to other human beings.  he did not need clues, i need to write about him.

I think once upon a time, before speech, humans understood each other by movement, facial expressions, and we were probably very aware of emotions without words. We moved on (?) but I do believe our animals are still using those tools.
