stockpile what you want, some people do and some dont......if you have food and others dont, they will likely kill you for it.  but for a poor starving family 40 meals for 50 dollars, if you can come up with the fifty might just be better than nothing.

on the preppers, i see people growing, canning, drying and freezing food and then rotating so it doesnt go bad, i give them credit, thats alot of work, but if something happens they will eat because they are learning how to use and keeping guns to protect it.

I have seen several promos about the religious right and other factions stockpiling food for the so called end or apocalypse

Until this entry, I had not heard of having emergency food...I myself keep enough food to last a week.

Some times political diversity goes too far. We live in democrcies where we elect our officials. They are our servants surely not our dictators. I think that it is not right to terrify the public without due cause. Now in the Ukraine at present or Syria or Egypt tis surely differnt to here in our countries.

In a way, this kinda falls under the heading of 'expect the unexpected,' which is one of the dumbest things I've ever heard, simply because it's nearly impossible! It's called the 'unexpected' for a reason. It probably wouldn't hurt to be 'prepared' in the event certain disasters strike, but there are so many variables. And, 'stored food' doesn't last forever! Yeah, there are a lot of doomsayers amongst us. Don't panic, remain diligent, and use a little common sense, and you'll be alright . . .
