Being 'shot at' is indeed an occupational hazard for the police, but one they knew full well about before they even sign on! And if you really understand the 'superhero' Wolverine, his mutant power is the ability to heal very quickly from any wound, a gift  that I'm sure everyone in law enforcement would love to have . . .

Being shot is definitely an occupational hazard for policemen.  A darling little boy that I babysat for as a teen had his mind set on being a policeman.  He made it and did well for a time, but at age 23 (still a darling boy in my eyes) he was shot and killed in the line of duty.

Oh, yes, it is an occupational hazard. I admire police for being able to do their job.
