Re: Re: Re:

That's okay, Kabu. Sometimes those 'old-fashioned words' sound much better than some of the politically correct-driven drivel they use today . . .

Re: Re:

LOL....I delve around too much in historical archives looking for clues and bits of facts for my writing...tends to make me write old fashioned words or sayings at times.

Re:

I know I probably would, Dr JPT. Not only am I not into fishing, but I'm not much of a seafood eater anyway! At that diner I would probably have gotten a BLT or something! Nice to see you back . . .

Re:

I guess, FSI, it's one of those things that not a lot of people would have thought about . . . but I do! Not all of those fairy tales can have "happy endings." There's got to be a touch of realism in there once in a while . . .

Re:

Thank you too, Kabu! I know, I know, what would Monday's be without my 'wild and whacky witticisms?' Interesting description. Not a lot of people use the word mirth . . .

Re:

Thanks, TAPS. Believe it or not, these are all mine. I have a notebook with me 24/7, and whenever one of these things comes to mind, I immediately jot it down. I read something, I see something, I hear something, I overhear something, and my twisted sense of humor springs into action. And then, of course, after they're honed and polished, I simply must share them . . .

Re:

I usually try to, Bill, but somehow they find me! Somehow, I can deal with the mentally sick ones. It's the physically sick ones that can take all the mustard out of you . . . !

Re:

If we can't laugh at ourselves, C C T . . . And you like demeaning animals? To what end? Have they demeaned you somehow in the past and you're just getting even? And I think you should consider another diet choice other than just pumpkins . . .

Re: Jimmy

I think those spirits, Naut, may either help you to deal with the actual ghosts, or simply ignore them altogether. Either way, I would probably still hide the sheets . . .

Re:

That may be a part of it, adnohr, but I believe that it may also be people are getting more and more used to having others do stuff for them, like hunting, cooking and serving . . .

If you think these up by yourself, you are quite witty.  If you don't, you probably are quite witty anyway.

Think If ate only pumpkins And had a wife I could not please her.

Pity you did not tell the cat, I like demeaning animals.

Finally as you admit to being rather short of the readies I must admire the hire shop that fitted you out for your photo. Also I admire a man who can take a joke and make one.

Jimmy

Spirits are a lot more difficult to deal with than ghosts? Not in this house - I have no problem at all with mine, be they scotch, bourbon, vodka or gin...

LOL - the last one is actually the truth...even quite evident in the present day of so many people thinking the world owes them a living....
