I'm so glad Smooch is coming along! And you're right - I don't mind scrimping on myself, but I would never scrimp on my doggie. And as far as the weather is concerned, well, today was our first day of what passes for spring around here, with the temp climbing to 14C, but I still have a layer of snow on the lawn...

I think one has to have a pretty tough skin to be a vet. Well and a dentist as my new one said to me. 'You see I really don't know you. 'No I thought now you are going to suggest I get as Mortgage to pay for some crowns. I think pets will only be kept by rich people soon, I know someone who had a white Persian kitten it has cost nearly 1K in bills for various attention. My poor old cat cut herself I think or something worse I can't take her to a vet as she is half wild. So I let her sleep on a heated pad and she eats well and follows me around. If she really looks sick I will get the vet to come and put her to sleep.
If an animal eats it is usually OK. Of course dogs cut to the quick.

I am glad to read that Smooch is on the right track...It all sounds very yummy.
