I loved reading about your selling trips. They must have been very hard in the winter. It is very interesting. Oh someone is always looking for a place to write a bad review on anything. It was not as nice as it is now for a period. I think that was simply due to there being more writers. I love it the way it is. Be blessed.

Re: Jimmy

Yes Jimmy it seems even stranger these days after writing about it . I have a photo of the old Morris somewhere, I expect it will turn up one day.  No Blogit is not for earning money but it still amuses me to get that monthly email 'You have earned,'

Re: Adnohr

Yes Adnohr and it was a cold old job in winter  when the old girls wrapped in shawls stood and debated which cough medicine to buy a £1 sale was a best customer about I don't know but there was 240 pennies to a pound/ A tin of beans 8pence. White hearthstone 4pence. Bag of pears 8pence. box of matches  2pence. 12 pegs 6pence bought from gypsies at 36 strip 1 shilling and 3pence. If the rascals gave one the full strips.

I'm sure that nickel was well-earned! Obviously Blog-it wasn't ( and isn't ) for everyone! And I can't imagine what it must have been like to keep inventory of all of those wares! No computers back then. Probably wore out a lot of pencils . . .

I can remember reading on Google a bad review about Blogit - it had been written some years ago, and I had never experienced what they were saying. Either things had changed or the writer's nose was out of joint for some reason. Would like going through your wagon's inventory. Life was harder then.

Re: This is so interesting, this inventory becomes a time machine

It was a little shock Pat . I thought it was a bit much calling us  idiots collectively.

Re: Jeff

Well I expect one would get a decent obituary on here Jeff. You don't get bread with one meat ball.

I love that last part.  LOL

Actually, I'm quite fascinated by the first part too.  I would have loved to go through your father's wares and picked out a few things to buy from him.

I've seen some gad reviews of blogit

from people who thought they could make real money here. I make $20 in a good month but it's still fun

This is so interesting, this inventory becomes a time machine

to move us back a few decades... And you found yourself unexpectedly.  Nice.
