And don't I know what you were feeling.  SO happy it turned out okay for Ben!

This is one of the reasons I don't have pets

too painful if they get hurt or sick or died

What a relief Naut. I wish I could do the same for my cat but I fear it would not be a good option. I am hoping I can examine her, but she is very skittish and I think she was injured by a car before she came here. I don't want to take her to a vet and have her put to sleep if she can enjoy rolling in the sun and eating her food. It is a problem. I expect it will be hurtful when you pick the caterpillars off your prize plants, just pretend they are nasty aliens.

Great news! He'll soon be himself and so will you, we hope.

As for the story you inflicted and the source - it's all good.

That is great how the tumor was definitely not malignant.

Always good news, to say the least! The other day, one of our cats suddenly cried out in pain from under a bed, and then began limping around. My wife and I assumed she had previously jumped from a high perch, injured a leg, and then went to stand on it a few minutes later and -EEOOOWWW!- Your heart breaks when you see or hear your 'quadruped friend' in any pain, so I understand completely. Here's hoping Bennie is up and playful again real soon . . .
