I am glad that is all over. I get more intimidated with technology year by year. I have outlived my ability to be complacent with much that is going on. I shall pray for her soon and total recovery.

I doubt that the government would be that stupid as to make war there! Medicine has come a long way - I expect her recovery time will be much shorter and just fine.

Even if they have to go, it won't be more than a 'gesture' - there won't be a war over Ukraine! And I think I had one of those arthroscopic surgeries, two actually - one on a knie, the other one on a shoulder...

Yes, modern medicine and modern technology can be amazing sometimes, especially when they're blended in this way! I hope she is doing better, and I hope that no one will have to go to the Ukraine . . .

I'm amazed by the robotic surgeons & the Da Vinci thing. I had my
gall bladder out about two years ago, by a doc who does it without Da Vinci, and I can't help believing the recovery might have gone smoother if he'd been able to adapt. I hope your DIL is up and at 'em in short order and feels much better to have the procedure over with. Crossing my fingers your grandsons will not need to go overseas. You'd think we'd learn that war solves nothing after a hundred years or so of futility.

Perhaps one day we will all send robots to war and it will be like a game, one that satisfies our killer instincts. Well not of the the poor souls who have to endure the present condition. Although I don't think there is a lot of enthusiasm these days for total annihilation. Pity we cannot concentrate on life saving projects.
