I am only generally aware that garbage removal is more efficient than it used to be, but I have not taken enough of an interest in the particulars.

I live in Florida and we have the automated trash collection here. It is great for the fact that they gave us a big bin for all the trash, but sometimes they are careless and just throw it down afterward and move on. There is a person to assist that rides along, but I don't think they jump off the truck unless I happen to be outside...

and you'll probably live longer than 28 more years of life! i was in a psych hospital once and one guy's aspirations were to be a garbage man. he was really into it. the automated sounds good. i always think of how cold those guys must get in the winter collecting trash. thank God for them. one guy in AA is a trash man. he's got lots of sobriety too!

I've never seen an automated one in my end of town. But, they are probably coming sooner or later.

Automated trash collection uses robotic arms to replace trash men. Just like dumpsters are lifted up to unload trash into trash trucks, the same can be done to trash cans. To the best of my knowledge, garbage and recycling are not in the same truck in any shape or form. Here is more information on automated trash collection:

I'm noy sure I iunderstand what you're saying. Do mean garbage and recycling go into the same place in the same truck or is the truck partitioned?

I expect the trash cans will walk up to the carts and throw the trash in FS.
