Oh, no, no, Annicita! I would never do that! My wife takes great pride in her appearance, and always look great! This was just a simple matter of there being a slight change in that appearance that slipped under my radar. No, it's already become water under the bridge . . .

i wouldn't worry too much...at least you didn't say something like....Oh I didn't want to hurt your feelings....

Re:

Thanks, Justi. I know we will. And you're right . . . there are far more important things to worry about, and of course my wife knows that! I think she was more stunned than upset that I hadn't noticed! She still looks wonderful though . . .

If that is all, your wife is floating in a perfect marriage. You two keep being sweet to one another.

Re:

Each day, C C T? I don't think I was that naughty! However, you may be on to something there! I can always use that 'hair measurement' as an excuse to get real close! Accompanied by those 'sweet whisperings?' My wife wouldn't stand a chance . . .

May I suggest you measure your wife's hair each day. Gently stroke it as you do so and whisper sweet things in her pearl like. Yes you have been very naughty Jimmy, go and

git yer air cut.

Re:

Thanks, TAPS. Like I wrote, she wasn't really overly upset. She was more in shock that I hadn't noticed, because she felt so much had been removed. But like I said, the stylist did such a fantastic job, it really wasn't all that noticeable! Life goes on, I guess . . .

Re: my girlfriend hasn't had a haircut since I've known her

Two years, Jeff? Her hair must be unbelievably long by now . . .

Re: sounds like you have a great marriage

We do indeed, Jeff. My wife never sweats the 'small stuff.' Everything is copacetic . . .

Re: JimmyA

Thanks, Sir Wiley. That is a good way to look at it. Fortunately, my wife is not one of those women who needs constant attention and constant compliments! It wasn't the end of the world, and we've already moved on . . .

Re:

Thanks, lovelylady. That's how I feel! My wife knows I've had a lot on my mind lately, and there could have been far worse things to not notice! It's already 'in the past' . . .

Re: Jimmy

It sure is, Naut! Forgetting a birthday or an anniversary is one thing, but not noticing a 'mild' hair cut is probably not the end of the world. As is well is this household . . .

Re:

Good for you, Utah . . . I think. I don't recall you ever mentioning your stroke, but I think I understand how it can affect one. Your wife sounds like a 'good egg' as well . . .

Re:

It can indeed, FSI! My wife was not overly upset, and she knows that I've had a lot on my mind lately. Besides, I'm sure there are other 'things' that would have been a bit more devastating had I forgotten them ( or hadn't noticed them ) . . .

As long as its allowed by your wife, that's what's important.

Give yourself a break man. I forget our anniversary most of the time mostly because we married each other twice. LOL  Same date, 26th of, uh, March. Like Jay tells us, I had a stroke too, and a heart attack, lost the use of my legs and I wasn't all there from the beginning, but hey we love one another and we don't sweat the small stuff, Don't you folks eithermy friend.

Don't worry to much about it, Jimmy.  You're certainly entitled now and again.

Isn't it nice to have a forgiving wife?

My wife keeps track of things as I have a sort term memory problem since my stroke (at least that is what I tell her) so I don't need to worry about such things.

Oh, yes, I agree that you are allowed one of those now and again. It can be very tough to keep track of things.
