I have found that dealing with headers and page numbers and any version of Word to be a hassle...I wish you well in figuring it out.

Well Ceil I have three different Word processors on my machine . I really use the one which is probably the oldest. One was a cheapie, but it does not seem much different. 'Ability Office.' Hope you have luck with your project. If you make a fortune we could be friends.

I finally got both header and page numbers... lord knows how! And I found out how to adjust the space between paragraphs. I just can't eliminate the line that shows at the bottom of a page at what seem to me random moments. I can backspace and juggle the lines after it to the end of the text just before it, then line-space, and then have to renew the indent... No idea how that will turn out later. I'm a writer, not a format mechanic!

Ciel, how neat that you have a goal for your writing. And I hate every thing about Microsoft Word excepting when it isn't installed on a teachers computer whose room I have to cover.

Congrats on getting them to take a look see at your writing.
Good luck! It took me some piddling and futzing to get headers and pagination in the Version 7. Saw just exactly the right scene about this problem on "Big Bang Theory" a couple nights ago. Sheldon told Leonard and Penny the new version of Windows was more user friendly and "I don't like that."
